CAOS Lecture Series Presents: Dr. Langis Michaud: The Importance of a Slit Lamp Exam




We are excited to have Dr. Michaud speak about ocular manifestations related to lysosomal storage disorders, with emphasis in mucopolysaccharidoses and Fabry's disease, both considered life-threatening if not diagnosed in a timely manner.

Dr. Michaud graduated from L'École d'optométrie de Université de Montréal in 1986. Since 2001, he has worked there as a professor and since 2020, as the Dean of the School of Optometry. He is a Diplomate of the American Academy of Optometry, Fellow of the British Contact Lens Association, of the Scleral Lens Education Society and of the European Academy of Optometry. He is an editorial board member of Journal of Contact Lenses Research and Science and has authored many articles in peer-reviewed journals about specialty contact lenses and myopia control.
