Nicole enjoys learning about the latest technology and research within optometry. She was also a binocular vision tutor, a subject she is very fond of. During her time in clinic, Nicole developed an interest in a variety of specialty clinics including pediatrics, glaucoma and dry eyes. As a fourth-year student, she has gained clinical experience and has found a great deal of fulfillment in helping her patients. She has completed two of her three rotations at: Atlantic Family Eye Care in Rhode Island which enabled her to learn more about private practices and at Providence community health center. Nicole is completing her last rotation at the Providence VA, where she has the opportunity to diagnose and manage many different ocular diseases.
Nicole is the epitome of an outstanding student doctor. She is compassionate, empathetic and always willing to help others. In clinic, Nicole exhibits professionalism and a strong work ethic.
After graduating as an optometrist, Nicole is considering working in her hometown of Windsor. She is also open to working in the US or perhaps even both countries! Her goal as a future optometrist is to provide great quality education and care to all her patients, especially in underserved populations. In the future, Nicole is open to owning her own private practice, being involved in research and even teaching! In the end, she will be successful in any path she chooses.
Congratulations Nicole on this achievement, your MCPHS family is very proud of you!
